The Brief

The project involved demolishing a 1970s home and building a couple’s dream home. A sleek, modern architectural design that harmonised with the lakefront surroundings and complemented neighbouring properties.

The challenge

Several challenges arose, including demolishing the existing property, sharing a driveway with two other houses, and managing the limitations of a steep, compact site by the lake. Construction had to be sequenced from the front of the property to the back to maintain access and avoid extensive earthwork. Additionally, the pool needed to be built above ground due to site constraints, requiring careful planning and execution.

The Solution

The project was strategically approached by building from the front of the property to the back, which allowed for consistent site access and minimise disruption. This plan also prevented the need for extensive earthwork, making the build smoother and more efficient while maintaining alignment with the client’s vision.

The Outcome

The completed home exceeded the clients' expectations, precisely matching their specific requirements and beautifully complementing the natural lake environment. The modern design enhanced the overall aesthetic of the area, creating a standout home that integrates seamlessly with its surroundings.
