Milford Park Place - Extension
The Brief
The brief was to create an all-season outdoor deck area that complements the existing pool and offers a versatile, open-plan space. The deck needed to be usable year-round, providing an inviting area suitable for various activities and gatherings.
The challenge
The project faced specific challenges, including working within a 30-square-metre limit to preserve views from a large bay window and integrating the new structure with the existing house seamlessly. Ensuring the area was truly all-weather and maintaining harmony with the home’s original design were also critical, as the client wanted the deck to feel like a natural extension of the home rather than an add-on.
The Solution
To meet these requirements, we proposed and implemented finishes that complemented the house’s existing aesthetics, aligning materials, colours, and textures for a cohesive look. The design carefully considered the bay window’s view and the need for unobstructed sightlines. This approach allowed for an open and elegant space that functions seamlessly in any weather and feels integrated with the home.
